As the Biden administration denies and downplays the border crisis, the American people are no longer fooled. The public knows what’s happening and no spin from the current administration is going to change the facts.
Last week, Biden spent time lecturing the American people not to behave as if coronavirus is gone. Many folks across the nation quickly reminded Biden of how his own crisis of packed migrants and children at the Southern border enables further transmission and cases of COVID-19.
Now, new details from Newsmax show that the 46th president’s approval rating is taking a hit due to the border crisis he engendered.
A Weak Point for President Biden
According to a survey coming from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, strong majorities of the country want the current immigration crisis fixed.
To be clear, 65% of Americans with concerns about immigration believe that divided families at the border should be reunified. Meanwhile, 59% believe that migrant children who arrive alone at the Southern border need to be treated with the proper care.
The Biden administration inherited an effective immigration policy and dismantled it within a matter of weeks—any suggestion to the contrary is a lie to the American people.

Additional details from the aforementioned survey confirm that four in ten Americans oppose President Biden’s management of migrant children who come alone to the Southern border. Only 24% believe that Biden is doing a good job on this front.
The current president has alleged that most individuals who arrive at the Southern border are sent back. However, many reports have disputed this claim.
Immigration and the Midterm Elections
The immigration crisis is very likely to impact next year’s midterm elections. Republicans are already gearing up strategies to take back the House of Representatives, if not the Senate as well.
There is no doubt that the GOP will bring up the border crisis in its messaging to voters. With each passing day, the crisis at the Southern border is proving to be a weak spot in this administration.

Biden and his aides are clearly in over their heads with no idea how to handle it; furthermore, the days and weeks that have passed with no solutions or fixes at the border only increase the likelihood of matters worsening.
If the Biden administration does not implement an effective solution to the problems at the border, the president’s approval ratings will continue to decline.
