(WatchDogNews.org) – It’s a day that ends in “y,” so that means Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has inserted her foot in her mouth once again. This time she did it while making margaritas in her kitchen and live streaming an anti-government rant. Why was the cocktail-making Representative mad? She doesn’t think lawmakers are doing enough for working-class Americans.
On April 3, AOC posted a number of live streams on Instagram where she ranted about the government’s response to COVID-19. At one point she accused the US of being a “brutal, barbarian society” for most “working class Americans.” She said “we” need to call “our” Representatives and ask them to do more. Then, the congresswoman asked if anyone has ever heard of the federal government “doing too much.”

Again, AOC did all of this ranting while making a margarita. Nothing quite says, ”I’m one of you,” like pretending she isn’t a lawmaker and drinking, in her words, “fancy” liquor. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has been working nonstop to help the country make it through this crisis.
The congresswoman is currently self-quarantining and she has a lot of time on her hands. Perhaps she could stop making margaritas and come up with solid plans to get Americans back on their feet. Maybe AOC could focus more on legislation that has a chance of passing instead of pursuing castles in the sky.
Her constituents would probably appreciate that a lot more than watching her mix a drink.
