COVID: FDA Approves Risky Drug

(WatchDogNews.org) – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted emergency COVID-19 treatment approval for two long-used antimalarial drugs: hydroxychloroquine sulfate and chloroquine phosphate. This measure allows medical service providers “off label” use without clinical trials for this virus. While there’s no vaccine, these drugs could help alleviate the symptoms of infected patients.

President Donald Trump has been a strong advocate for the use of these drugs because studies, albeit limited ones, showed an almost 100% cure rate. Though as with any drug, they do come with known risks, which can include death. Recognizing this, the FDA in its approval letter noted the “benefits outweighed their risk.”

Of course, the POTUS isn’t getting any credit for his stances. The Progressive Liberal media would refute the president’s claim of strength if he lept over CNN headquarters “in a single bound” like Superman. True to form, they refuse to acknowledge the potential benefits of these drugs as well.

CNN posted a tweet questioning the drug’s effectiveness. Other stories covered the couple in Arizona who ingested fish tank cleaner containing chloroquine phosphate, but glossed over the fact it wasn’t human-grade medicine supervised by a doctor.

Do these drugs have risks? Yes. Are they known to doctors? Yes. That doesn’t discredit their potential effectiveness. These medicines have been used since the 1950s.

As of March 30, 2020, over 150,000 Americans have been infected, this number is rising, literally, by the hour. Medical experts have estimated the country could easily see between 100,000 and 200,000 deaths. One has to wonder why Liberals seem more intent on discrediting the president than providing a light in the midst of this unprecedented darkness.
