Dershowitz Not Impressed By Shoddy Impeachment Case

( – Alan Dershowitz appeared on “Fox News Sunday” this week to set the record straight about the Democrats’ flimsy impeachment case. In a discussion with Host Chris Wallace, the constitutional scholar made it very clear that the Left had no business impeaching the president.

Dershowitz, who is part of Trump’s impeachment team, told Wallace that the case brought by the House of Representatives was not “presented completely.” He added:

“Even if the factual allegations are true, which are highly disputed in which the defense team will show contrary evidence, but even if true, they did not allege impeachable offenses. So, there can’t be a constitutionally authorized impeachment.”

Trump’s attorney also said it must be clear that the president committed a crime in order to be impeached. Wallace tried to have a “gotcha!” moment by playing a 1998 clip of Dershowitz saying the opposite.

He shrugged it off and essentially told Wallace he’s not the same person he was in 1998, and his feelings have changed. “I’ve been immersing myself in dusty old books, and I’ve concluded that, no, it has to be a crime,” Dershowitz explained.

Dershowitz is right. The case was not “presented completely” and we all know this because Dems are still trying to have witnesses called. Wallace’s attempt to back the attorney into a corner was just silly. How many of you believe the same things you did 22 years ago? Yeah, we don’t either.

As we begin the second week of the impeachment witch hunt, expect the Democrats’ case to be torn to shreds by Trump’s team. It’s been a long time coming.
