In the United States, climate change activists repeatedly take heat, due to the policies they advocate for in the name of saving the environment.
These policies range from doing away with fossil fuels to banning non-electric vehicles and more. However, what climate change initiatives ultimately have in common is a lack of sustainability, especially over the long term.
Greta Thunberg, one of the world’s most well-known climate change activists, has also come under fire for her various claims that pertain to the environment and different measures that countries ought to embrace.
Though a controversial tweet that Thunberg posted in 2018 and since deleted now has her under a microscope, according to Republic World.
Rewriting History
Back in June 2018, Thunberg posted on Twitter that climate change would wipe out the human race within five years’ time, barring the end of fossil fuel use. With the five-year timeframe rapidly approaching, the world has not ceased the use of fossil fuels, nor has humanity come even close to being destroyed.
Thunberg quietly took down this tweet. However, it didn’t take long for the internet to catch wind of it anyway. Critics accused the climate change activist of intentionally spreading alarm and fear when it’s not necessary.

The predictions of the end of the world, catastrophic ocean rises, countries under water etc have all turned out to be false. What is their agenda behind the lies and fear mongering? pic.twitter.com/hWverZZ6Av— Broufus (@Broufus) March 11, 2023
Others stated the since-deleted tweet is proof of how radical the climate change movement has become in recent years. The tweet deletion nevertheless looks to be a quiet admission that the content of its mission was wrong and therefore worthy of backlash.
Given the pattern of alarmist predictions made by the climate change movement that ultimately fail to pan out, some Americans are now questioning if activists could have a more hidden agenda behind the scenes.
Back to Reality
Despite what climate change activism espouses, oil, fossil fuels, and other natural resources play a critical role in access to tools that most folks take for granted. Furthermore, the use of natural resources is not inherently harmful to the environment or to future generations.
Nevertheless, the Biden administration and other far-left activists are continuing to beat the drum of fearmongering and making wild predictions that ultimately never come to pass.

The longer the climate change movement goes down this route, the less credible they will become in the eyes of the general public. Eventually, even people who are undecided or uncertain about this issue will begin to see the writing on the wall.
In the meantime, fossil fuels, oil, and other similar resources are not going anywhere.
What do you make of Greta Thunberg privately deleting one of her past climate change tweets that has been proven as inaccurate? Do you think the climate change movement will continue leaning into alarmism and fear? You are more than welcome to let us know in the comments section.
