Earlier this week, the Democrat-dominated House of Representatives voted to remove Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from her congressional committee tasks. This decision arrived after the resurfacing of Greene’s online posts and rhetoric about Democrat leaders, school shootings, QAnon, and more. House Democrats even got 11 Republicans to vote alongside them.

Democrats cheered upon stripping Rep. Greene of her committee tasks; however, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy warned Democrats on Thursday that their victory will be fleeting and short-lived.

Breitbart News confirms McCarthy’s statement and warning that a time will arrive when Republicans have the House majority, hence leaving Democrats in the minority.

A Closer Look at the GOP Leader’s Warning to House Democrats

Leader McCarthy condemned the past remarks of Rep. Greene before tearing into the House Democrats. The House Minority Leader stated that the Democrat majority abused its power by removing Greene’s committee assignments; McCarthy then inferred that Democrats’ “new standard” will come back to bite them once they’re no longer in the majority.

Shortly thereafter, McCarthy also called out Democrat Reps. Omar, Swalwell, and Waters for their rhetoric. Omar once dismissed 9/11 as “some people did something” and claimed that Israel had the world under hypnosis. Swalwell, on the other hand, was played by a Chinese spy while Waters called for members of the Trump administration to be harassed and heckled in public.

The House Minority Leader pointed out these details and noted that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi didn’t condemn this behavior, nor were any of the Democrat representatives reprimanded or punished.

A Reckoning in 2022?

House Republicans are currently within sniffing distance of taking back the House majority. Next year’s midterms will give the GOP a chance to regain majority power and significantly shake things up in Washington D.C.

If Republicans regain the House in 2022, Democrats will not be able to treat GOP members in the manner they treated Rep. Greene. A Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in the grander scheme, would also have the power to check policies coming from the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress.

President Trump has already stated that he’ll work to help the GOP take back the House from Democrats during next year’s midterm elections.
