Last month, White House press secretary Jen Psaki made headlines after she announced testing positive for COVID.
This was Psaki’s second time coming down with COVID, notwithstanding having both COVID vaccines and her booster shot. Testing positive for the virus meant that Psaki was yet again unable to accompany Biden on an overseas trip she planned to attend.
This past Friday, Psaki was back to work after taking five days to quarantine. During this time, the White House press secretary took a series of questions from the media about a range of issues.
Yet, things got really interesting amid reports that Psaki will be leaving the Biden administration to take up a job with MSNBC.
When the press secretary was questioned about this, she gave answers to intentionally evade a confirmation or denial of these reports, according to Breitbart News.
Psaki on Her Future at the White House
When various journalists asked the press secretary about reports that she will soon be taking up a job with MSNBC, Psaki said a lot without conveying much substance.
According to the White House press secretary, she didn’t have anything she would “confirm” about her current work for the Biden administration or future endeavors she’s looking into.

Psaki then made a point of mentioning that reporters in the White House aren’t going to be able to get rid of her so easily.
Then, the question of ethics came up. Psaki was grilled about whether or not the White House is OK with keeping staffers on board who are openly seeking work opportunities elsewhere.
On the matter of ethics, the White House press secretary just reiterated that she didn’t have any announcements to make.
What to Expect about Psaki’s Employment Going Forward
Here’s the truth of the matter: it’s very unlikely that reports of Psaki planning to take a job with MSNBC would come up if they weren’t true.
Also, the reality that MSNBC has not come out and disputed these reports speaks volumes. At this time, it appears as though the White House press secretary is preparing to make the transition away from the Biden administration and into a different job.

It is very much possible that the White House is currently looking for a new press secretary to replace Psaki and just hasn’t publicly announced it yet.
Even before these reports about an MSNBC deal broke out, there were rumors that Psaki only planned to work for the White House for about one year.
