Lincoln Project Primed for Lawsuit from Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner

The Lincoln Project has made a name for itself as an anti-Trump “conservative” organization.

While the group claims to be comprised of “Republicans” who oppose Trump, The Lincoln Project has, on numerous occasions, teamed up with Democrats and worked against conservatives other than the president.

The Backstory

This month, The Lincoln Project took aim at first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner. On billboards in New York City, Trump and Kushner are seen smiling and gesturing next to the 221,000+ coronavirus death toll number. Next to Kushner is a quote claiming that New Yorkers will “suffer.”

Since these billboards have gone up, Marc Kasowitz, an attorney representing both Trump and her husband, contacted The Lincoln Project in writing. Per Townhall, the letter warns the anti-Trump “conservative” group of the libelous nature of the billboards.

Finally, Kasowitz informed that The Lincoln Project will face a serious lawsuit for “enormous compensatory and punitive damages” if the billboards against his clients are not immediately taken down.

The Lincoln Project’s Response

The Lincoln Project responded to the attorney by stating that they will not remove the billboards targeting Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

In a “legal response,” the Never-Trump “Republican” group stated that seeing Trump and Kushner’s aversion to their billboards is “comical.” The statement goes on to claim that both Trump and her husband are “entitled, out-of-touch bullies” without regard for COVID-19’s impact on the American people.

Finally, The Lincoln Project’s response concludes with them stating that the Trump and Kushner families are responsible for “cruelty, audacity, and staggering lack of empathy.”

Since the release of the billboards in Times Square, the anti-Trump organization continues to get praise from Democrats and others who despise the president and his family. To date, those familiar with The Lincoln Project remain hard-pressed to name a single running Republican that the group has openly backed.

The Lincoln Project and its members moreover face accusations of being Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) due to their positions and the candidates they support. This goes beyond opposition against Trump, but also includes attack ads against GOP members and virtually anyone on the right-wing.

From where many Americans are sitting, there is absolutely nothing “conservative” about The Lincoln Project or its members.
