(WatchDogNews.org) – For some unknown reason, it seems as though New York City really wants violent, illegal alien offenders roaming the streets. This week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was forced to protect people in the city again.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) arrested Miguel Federico Ajqui-Ajtzalam for the intimate assault of a teenage girl. ICE issued a detainer for the 20-year-old illegal but officials ignored it:
A Guatemalan National who illegally entered the country as an unaccompanied minor, was arrested for raping a 13 y/o girl 5 times
Sanctuary city Brooklyn let him walk free—ignoring an ICE request to keep him in custody

ICE was incredibly angry when it found out that the city’s sanctuary policies put the city in danger again. Enforcement and Removal Operations Field Director Thomas R. Decker called the move “inconceivable” and said it put the city’s residents at risk.
Fortunately, ICE apprehended the Guatemalan national a few days after he was released and now he’s awaiting removal proceedings.
This is at least the second time in recent months officials in the city put lives in danger. A 92-year-old woman was murdered after the NYPD ignored another detainer order. President Donald Trump recently said he will not give federal funds to police departments who continue their asinine sanctuary policies.
