Only One State Hasn’t Rolled Back Mask Mandates

Mask mandates are getting rolled back across the United States. Democrats are understanding they can’t expect to cruise to victory in the November midterms if they’re pushing policies loathed by most Americans.

Another factor leading to the rollback of mask mandates deals with the enormous pushback various leftist politicians are getting for disregarding the very same mask mandates they’ve put in place for their communities.

“Rules of thee and not for me” is very unpopular and doesn’t win anyone over. If anything, it alienates people who may have once been in support of mandatory masking.

However, even as mask mandates are rolled back throughout the country, the state of Hawaii has yet to follow this trend, according to Breitbart News.

What to Know about Hawaii and Masks

Democrat David Ige, the governor of Hawaii, recently weighed in on why he has yet to roll back mask mandates like all 49 of his other counterparts.

According to Governor Ige, his work with the Hawaii Department of Health is going to determine when he makes the call to roll back mask mandates. Ige also made it very clear that he believes upholding mask mandates is in keeping with “the science.”

As time passes, the so-called science of mask mandates has gotten more and more flimsy. For instance, the CDC has since come out and declared that cloth face masks are not effective in stopping coronavirus.

It wasn’t too long ago the CDC also declared that everyone should wear cloth face masks or even two cloth face masks. At the end of the day, when the goalposts constantly move, the folks moving the goalposts become increasingly less trustworthy.

A New Turn of Events on Mandates

Governor Ige may not be too eager to do away with mandates; however, mandates are rapidly becoming the downfall of the Democrat Party.

At the end of the day, folks around the world have had enough. People don’t want to be bothered with various restrictions forced upon their lives in perpetuity. It’s not something folks are willing to put up with after two years.

Already, word has begun spreading of an American trucker convoy set to take place in Washington DC, around the period of the State of the Union address. This has put the Capitol police, National Guard, and other groups in the country’s capital on high alert.

Time will tell how much more time has to pass before Hawaii joins the rest of the country and begins to roll back its mask mandate.

What do you think about Hawaii being the only state in America that is still upholding a mandatory mask order? Will this backfire on Hawaii? Let us know your thoughts about this in the comments feed.
