(WatchDogNews.org) – In 2015, Army National Guard veteran Alek Skarlatos helped stop a terrorist attack on a train bound for Paris. He helped overpower a heavily-armed gunman who’d opened fire on commuters, and was hailed a hero for his bravery. Now, Skarlatos is running for Congress.
The veteran is trying to unseat Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR). The congressman has served the 4th Congressional District in Oregon since 1987 and recently became an ally of far-left basket of Duh Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). The hero veteran said he researched his congressman— the more he learned, “the angrier” he got.

Skarlatos told “Fox & Friends” host Ainsley Earhardt he believes the two parties are “getting way too divided.” He wants to run in the middle and kick the partisan congressman who’s voted with “AOC 96% of the time” out of the seat.
Who better to serve in Congress than a man who stopped a terrorist attack? He would certainly be better than what Oregon has now.
