Last Wednesday, the U.S. Capitol was shaken by Trump supporters. Videos and images showed supporters of the president fighting with police officers, storming inside the Capitol, and even sitting in the offices and chairs of lawmakers.

Since this event, backlash against Trump has been swift and unprecedented. Multiple banks announced that they will no longer do business with Trump or his companies. The City of New York and the Professional Golfers’ Association also severed ties and contracts with the president and his organizations. Meanwhile, social media sites and online payment processors have also banned the 45th president.

Despite all of this, Washington Examiner confirms that 91% of Americans who voted for Trump would still vote for him again.

Unwavering Loyalty to President Trump

Throughout the years, supporters of President Trump have earned a reputation for being fiercely loyal. This loyalty maintains in spite of the debacle that rocked the nation precisely seven days ago.

According to a new survey from pollster Frank Luntz, 91% of Trump voters would again vote for the 45th president if today were Election Day. Only 4% claimed they’d vote for Joe Biden, while just 3% and 2% stated that they’d write in a candidate or simply not vote at all.

Merely one-quarter of Trump supporters view the 45th president as responsible for the mobbing of the U.S. Capitol a week ago; however, 60% opined that Trump’s conduct was less appropriate than that of Vice President Mike Pence’s.

Trump Voters in Future Elections

Additional findings from Luntz also confirmed that 50% of Americans who voted for Trump would like him to run for office yet again. Only 35% of Trump voters would rather vote for a different presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

Of the potential candidates that Trump supporters would back, Vice President Mike Pence is at the top of the list. Following Pence are Sen. Ted Cruz, Donald Trump Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Ivanka Trump, and several others.

In real-time, House Democrats are currently working to impeach President Trump. If impeachment leads to conviction, then Trump will be barred from running in the 2024 presidential election or seeking public office. This appears to be the ultimate endgame of congressional Democrats.
