Rand Paul Annoyed With Chief Justice John Roberts

(WatchDogNews.org) – The question-and-answer portion of the impeachment trial left one senator extremely frustrated on Wednesday. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) repeatedly tried to ask a question that would have named the Ukraine whistleblower, but Chief Justice John Roberts refused to read it.

During the Q&A, senators weren’t actually allowed to speak, and this hampered Paul’s ability to ask what he wanted to know. Instead, lawmakers submitted questions to Roberts, who then reviewed them before reading them aloud. The chief justice, however, said he would not reveal the identity of the alleged whistleblower.

According to sources, the senator from Kentucky revised his question multiple times in an attempt to have his voice heard, but Roberts wouldn’t budge. During a break, Senator Paul said he didn’t “want to have to stand up” and fight to be heard, but he would if he had to.

As the final Q&A phase begins, Paul indicated he may force the issue with the chief justice.
