(WatchDogNews.org) – The world’s in the middle of a deadly global pandemic. President Donald Trump and state leaders are working day and night to slow the spread of COVID-19. Obviously, this is the perfect time for a Democratic lawmaker to announce they want the commander-in-chief to face prosecution at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
State Representative Tavia Galonski (D-OH) said she wants Trump to go in front of the court in Hague to face charges for “crimes against humanity.”
I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been to The Hague. I’m making a referral for crimes against humanity tomorrow. Today’s press conference was the last straw. I know the need for a prosecution referral when I see one. https://t.co/XQin24gqY4

Apparently, she got angry when the president told the American people the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine might help those infected with the coronavirus. Bad, Trump! How dare he suggest patients speak to their doctors about possible treatment.
Meanwhile, in New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo is asking for more doses of the drug because patients who received the treatment are seeing some success. But hey, Trump should face prosecution for talking about a drug that the FDA is allowing to be used in certain cases and scientists are evaluating.
Rep. Galonski also doesn’t seem to understand that she can’t make such a referral. Only member states of the ICC can do that, and the US isn’t one of them. Fox News asked her what crime the president specifically committed, but she never responded. It looks like this grand plan of hers may not work out so well.
