There is quite a bit of talk and press surrounding former President Trump. This past weekend, Trump delivered the keynote speech at the North Carolina GOP convention. While speaking, the former president discussed an array of issues; China, Fauci, the GOP’s future, etc., are just a few examples.
On Memorial Day weekend, former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell stirred up even more talk. During a QAnon event in Dallas, Texas, Powell incorrectly asserted that Trump could be “reinstated” into office with a new inauguration day set and Biden forced out of the White House.
This false claim has now led to speculations that Trump will get reinstated into the White House by August 2021. As Washington Examiner reports, multiple Trump aides and others within the former president’s circle have shot down the bogus talk about presidential reinstatement.
No Reinstatement of President Trump
Over the weekend, former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told Fox News that the 45th president will not be reinstated into the White House.
Contrary to false assertions from Powell, Lewandowski noted that absolutely no constitutional provision permits presidential reinstatement. The former Trump campaign manager also explained that in his conversations with Trump, the latter has never brought up being reinstated into the White House.

Lewandowski is not the only person close to the former president to shoot down talk about a Trump reinstatement. Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law to the former president, also said that there’s no plan for her father-in-law to get reinstated as president.

Jenna Ellis, another attorney with connections to former President Trump, recently came out as well, stating that Trump will not get reinstated into the White House.
The Best Path Forward
Reports of Trump being “reinstated” as president in August or at any time are false; however, this does not mean that all hope is lost.
Going forward, Republicans can ensure that election integrity is present and upheld. Several Republican states are already doing this by passing commonsense election integrity laws.
The election was lawless, six states allowed their delegates to vote by false certifications, but the EC process happened.
The Constitution has only one process for removal of a sitting president: impeachment and conviction.
No, President Trump is not going to be “reinstated.”

Likewise, pushing back against bills like Democrats’ For the People Act is critical as well. For the People Act would ban states from having voter ID laws, force ballot harvesting nationwide, and stuff Democrats’ political campaigns with taxpayer dollars.
Thankfully, the For the People Act has bipartisan opposition with Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin joining Republicans in opposing the legislation. For this reason, For the People Act lacks the votes to pass the Senate, even without the filibuster.
